Individual Therapy

I offer individual psychotherapy to pre-teens, adolescents and adults. I work with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, identity and self-esteem, life transitions, family-of-origin concerns, loneliness and social difficulties, trauma and PTSD, sexual abuse, and peer relationships. Sessions are fifty minutes long, and I recommend that we begin by meeting on at least a weekly basis.. This allows us to establish a strong and comfortable rapport quickly and gain momentum in addressing your challenges. Some may experience symptom reduction over the course of weeks, while others may see more long-term and lasting changes over the course of months or years.

When working with pre-teens and adolescents, I sometimes invite a parent to join an appointment or recommend scheduling a separate parent meeting to discuss the child’s treatment. Given your child’s specific needs, we can decide together what level of parent involvement would be most beneficial while preserving the privacy and independence of their individual treatment.
